This week's KXCV Bearcat Coaches Show previewed basketball games against Washburn and Emporia State, and what they might look like with more fans in the stands.
Northwest head women's basketball coach Austin Meyer and senior forward Ellie Horn joined the show to discuss the first half of the season, and how they are pushing to reach more goals throughout the 2021 portion of the season.
After the show aired, news broke that this week's women's games will not be played due to COVID-19 protocols.
The Bearcat men's basketball team is undefeated and matching up with No. 5 Washburn Thursday. Game time has been moved up to 6pm. Head coach Ben McCollum and sophomore Wes Dreamer spoke with John Coffey about the early season success.
Northwest athletic director Andy Peterson also joined the program ahead of the first home basketball games with 20-percent capacity allowed for season-ticket holders.
